– Classes use the “Christian Life Series” which is a publication of Union Gospel Press Division. This Winter Quarter is about “God the Holy One” by covering key scriptures from the New Testament letters and selections from the Old Testament. The first unit deals with “His Holy Presence “Always Present”, lesson 1, is about Moses’ mountaintop encounter with God when he asked to see God’s glory. In Lesson 2, Moses’ request to see God’s manifested itself in God’s glory appearing in the tabernacle. Lesson 3, focuses on Christmas marvelous prophecy of the birth of the Child from the line of David who would lead the nation in God’s righteousness. Lesson 4, contains a glimpse of the incomparable greatness of God from Isaiah, “Who can compare with our great God? Our second unit “His Holy House” begins with lesson 5, with Jesus in the temple as He forcefully cleansed it from an infestation of hindrance to people’s worship of the holy God. Lesson 6, we return to the days of King David, when he brought the ark of God into Jerusalem. We find in lesson 7, God sitting on His throne in all His splendor is the emphasis. Lesson 8, we turn to Psalm 113:1-9 to praise God, who looks down to provide care for the people He created while sitting high above the heavens. The third and final unit “His Holy Expectation” we begin lesson 9, with Solomon’s prayer of dedication at the completion of the temple in Jerusalem. Lesson 10, we see God’s instructions for Israel after they left Egypt. Lesson 11 returns to the New Testament to repeat the command for God’s people, both Jewish and Gentile followers of Christ, to live holy lives. Finally, we finish with an exhortation from the Book of Hebrews for God’s people to run towards holiness, in lesson 12.
