CALVIN M. TUCKER I

Calvin is the Pastor and founder of New Life Ministries in Lompoc, California.  The Pastor believes and teaches that the Bible is the only authority for truth and Jesus Christ is the only way to know the true and living God.  He endeavors every day to have the mind of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit to spread the good news to those that are lost.  Pastor Calvin has a heart for God’s people and desires to see every member of the body growing in the grace and knowledge of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

His vision for New Life Ministries is to be a beacon of hope and reconciliation for all races in Lompoc and the surrounding communities.  He further envisions a multicultural New Life Ministries impacting lives beyond the bounds of the local community.  He strives to be a leader and role model for men to promote unity, strengthen families and champion harmony among other ministries.

Pastor Calvin was saved at the tender age of 13 at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, New Orleans, La and endured a season of the prodigal son experience.  He has been a Junior Deacon, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher (seven year olds to Senior Citizens), Sunday School Superintendent and taught Bible Studies for all ages.  In 1995 he answered his call to become a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was licensed in 1998 by True Vine Independent Baptist.  In 2007 he was ordained by a Pacific Southern Baptist Association Ordination Council to continue serving Lompoc New Life Ministries.  He has served for almost nine years as an Associate Minister in three different congregations; True Vine Independent Baptist, Calvary Baptist, and Rivers of Living Waters. Pastor Calvin is currently serving as a member of the Great Commission Association's Executive Board and also serves as Second Vice Chairman on the Administrative Council.   

Pastor Calvin retired from the United States Air Force in 2000 after 28 years and 5 days of faithful service and answered God’s call to give birth to New Life Ministries.  In 2016 Pastor Calvin retired as a federal civil servant after 13 years and 9 months of dedicated service.  He has two Associate Degrees in Hotel & Food Service Management and Mortuary Science. He also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. Successfully completed a semester at Gateway Seminary, Ontario towards a Master of Divinity Degree during the Fall Semester of 2017. 

Pastor Calvin is married to his lovely wife of 33 years, the former Ms Debra Anderson and they have two children, Calvin II and Janel. They are blessed to have five grandchildren; Chandler, Skylar, Ethan, Dawson, and Atlas.
